The DesCK

The DesCK is a commissioned piece custom designed for the home office of client, C.K.  It was crafted from sequential Claro Walnut slabs milled from a single tree, regionally sourced in northern California.  The desktop is minimal in its detailing with clean and subtle faceting to the edges, allowing for the natural beauty and figure of the wood to take center stage.  The entirely hand-shaped trestle legs have a more dramatic form with graceful, tapering curves and sloping facets.  They also employ a unique joint design created specially for this piece.
