Third Street
Wall Cabinet in Port Orford Cedar and EbonyInspired by a parking garage on Third Street in San Francisco, this piece is the result of my pursuit of a visual style over any considerations for function or convention. Standing somewhere between fine furniture and sculpture, it invites the viewer to question What?, Why? and How? and playfully refuses a response.
Third Street appeared in the Fall 2019 exhibition “Making A Seat At The Table: Women Transform Woodworking” at the Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia.
